Kitsune are legendary fox spirits in Japanese folklore known for their intelligence, supernatural powers, and ability to shapeshift into humans. Sometimes they serve as messengers and other times they play pranks. As they age and gain more tails (up to nine!) their magical abilities and wisdom increase.
