No I did not spell it wrong. This ornament is dedicated to farmer Grant who ran vineyard garden center for many years. I was a young 20 something when my sister suggested that I try and get a job at the garden center down the road. I had been an avid gardener and I enjoyed customer service and wanted to learn more I applied and got the job. That turned into a complete life change and where I met many people I call family. Farmer Grant is one of the most hardworking people I know and also one of the most altruistic. I could tell you many dozens of stories of him she giving service to the community in ways that no one else knew. He raised vegetables plants flowers trees beautiful flower starts and for the holidays he grew the best pon said he has in the state. I didn't understand the traditions and beauty of poinsettias growing up it just wasn't a tradition in my household and we didn't have money for a lot of extras. Walking through the fields of different colored poinsettias in the greenhouse is a memory I in love and cherish.
This simple and small ornament of the Poinsettia blossom has its own story of why we use them during the holiday season but also from farmer Grant who many of his grand kids call "grant-pa"
